Bristol original Slowie opens his account for his own brand-new label Dee Oh 7 in typically antagonistic style, smashing his way through your earholes with a can of rough cider and some of the sharpest, realest bars you’ll hear all year.

‘Warmonger’ is a gravel-throated declaration of intent from Slowie; skilfully taking on a rhythm-shifting grime/2-step beat from producers Mr Skandal and Ambler Productions with his raw lyrical taunts and swaggering statements of on (and off)-mic supremacy.

Already one of the most respected MCs in his home city, having worked with legendary local producers such as Jakes and Gemmy (on 2018’s ‘Snakes & Blaggers’ EP for Durkle Disco) as well hot new things like Lamont (for Swamp 81 on ‘Ar Kid’), this is just the latest in a red-hot run of form for Slowie ahead of a full album for Dee Oh 7 with $H The Producer in early 2021.

If you haven’t yet heard grime with a Bristolian accent, this is your time.
